Official | Borussia Dortmund extend Guille Bueno’s contract until 2026

Borussia Dortmund have extended the contract of 21-year-old Guille Bueno until the summer of 2026.

His previous contract was set to expire next summer but it has now been extended by a further two years.

Bueno joined Borussia Dortmund in 2021 from Deportivo La Coruna’s youth academy when he was just 18-years-old.

Since his move, he has made 45 appearances in the third division for the under 23 side.

On Saturday, Bueno was in the first team Bundesliga squad for the first time in Dortmund’s 4-2 win against Union Berlin.

The Spaniard had also previously completed pre-season with the first team ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

“Guille is extremely hard-working and has worked hard to earn his place in the first eleven. We are looking forward to continuing the positive development together,” said Ingo Preuß, sporting director of the U23s.

Bueno also spoke on his delight of extending his contract and his goals for the future.

“It wasn’t easy to gain a foothold here but now I’m happy to have made it – thanks to hard work. I just have my goal in mind, which is to play for BVB’s first team one day,” said Bueno.

The young left-back may get his chance in the first team this season as Dortmund are a little thin for depth in his position. Behind new signing Ramy Bensebaini is just Julian Ryerson who predominantly plays in the right-back position.

A place in the first team squad last week and a new contract sparks a bright future for Guille Bueno.
