Noussair Mazraoui unhappy with situation at Bayern Munich

As reported by Kicker, Noussair Mazraoui is unhappy with his current situation at Bayern Munich.

After joining Bayern in the summer under Julian Nagelsmann, Mazraoui had a difficult start to life in Bavaria with the Moroccan finding himself displaced by Benjamin Pavard. But he continued to develop well before being sidelined with pericarditis following Covid-19.

Under Thomas Tuchel, who replaced Nagelsmann, Mazraoui only feels like an emergency option. As a result, a potential departure from Bayern Munich after just one season is possible, despite a contract until 2026.

But that situation could yet change with Bayern deciding against the permanent signing of João Cancelo whilst Pavard won’t extend his contract at the club beyond 2024, meaning a departure for the Frenchman in the summer is possible. That leaves Tuchel with Mazraoui and Josip Stanišić as the options at right-back.

Since arriving from Ajax on a free transfer, Mazraoui (25) has played 26 games across all competitions, 16 of which have been starts.
