Hoffenheim Sporting Director Alexander Rosen is set to be promoted to the club’s Managing Director after the club’s separation from Frank Briel and according to Bild, the Bundesliga club are interested in signing former players.
The report suggests that Leeds United’s Georginio Rutter (21) is one of those players. The Frenchman left Hoffenheim for LUFC in January but has failed to make an impact and with a contract at Elland Road until 2028, a transfer would appear to be too expensive but according to Fussball Transfers, a loan would be more likely.
Rutter cost Leeds United an initial €28m but managed just 264 minutes in the Premier League across 11 games, resulting in one goal. The Frenchman was relegated with the West Yorkshire club.
Other names that Hoffenheim appear to be pursuing are Kevin Volland (AS Monaco), Florian Grillitsch (Ajax) and Nadiem Amiri (Bayer Leverkusen), all of whom played for Hoffenheim previously.
