As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Kim Min-jae is scheduled to undergo his Bayern Munich medical this Wednesday.
The Napoli defender agreed personal terms with Bayern over a week ago. The South Korean international is now due to arrive Säbener Strasse on Wednesday where he’ll complete his medical test.
Bayern will then trigger the 26-year-old’s release clause immediately after. The defender will cost Bayern €50m and sign a contract until June 2028. It’s reported that the player will earn around €10m-€12m gross salary per year.
Kim was influential for Napoli last season as they lifted the Serie A title, playing 35 league games.
Bayern Munich’s need to strengthen their defence comes after Lucas Hernandez told the club that he would like to leave, after hearing of PSG’s interest. Benjamin Pavard is also expected to leave the club after informing bosses that he wouldn’t be extending his contract beyond 2024.
