Jörg Schmadtke will aim to bring Ryan Gravenberch and other Bundesliga stars to Liverpool

Liverpool’s new transfer strategist, Jörg Schmadtke, will aim to bring Ryan Gravenberch and other Bundesliga players to the club, Sport Bild reports.

The former Hannover, FC Köln, and VfL Wolfsburg man will be announced as the club’s new transfer strategist on Friday, joining fellow countryman Jürgen Klopp on Merseyside.

Despite not officially working for the club until the end of the week, Schmadtke already has a number of Bundesliga players in mind who he’d like to see at Liverpool.

One of them includes Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch. The Dutchman has already been mentioned on Liverpool’s transfer list but Bayern are adamant that the 21-year-old is not for sale. Despite their claims, Bayern have only started Gravenberch four times in the Bundesliga this season. The youngster may be tempted to switch himself, partially heading into a European Championship season.

Others include Joško Gvardiol (21/RB Leipzig), Florian Neuhaus (26/Gladbach), and Daichi Kamada (26/Eintracht Frankfurt).

Of course, Liverpool will not be able to fetch every player on this list but the club are preparing for a massive overhaul this summer. Expect these names to be floating around Liverpool transfer stories.
