Jan-Niklas Beste attracts interest from abroad

According to Sport Bild, Heidenheim winger Jan-Niklas Beste is beginning to attract interest from abroad due to his performances this season.

Beste, with his signature beard, has been the brightest spark as Heidenheim have been able to hold their own in their first-ever Bundesliga season. In 12 games, the 24-year-old has five goals and four assists as Heidenheim currently sit in 14th.

Fiorentina as well as clubs from Spain are showing interest in Beste and with his contract expiring in 2025, Heidenheim could ask for a fee that could break their record sales which was set by now Hamburg striker Robert Glatzel when he was sold to Cardiff for €6m in 2019.

Beste joined Heidenheim in 2022 for €950k after failing to break through at Werder Bremen. The 24-year-old is a product of the Borussia Dortmund youth system but joined Bremen in 2018 after also failing to make an impact in Dortmund.
