Jamal Musiala will leave Bayern Munich if he cannot achieve his goals

Since being inserted into the Bayern Munich starting XI by Hansi Flick in 2020, Jamal Musiala has become one of, if not the most, sought-after youngsters in European football. However, attempting to lure him away from Bayern Munich has always seemed like an impossible task.

However, as recently reported, Liverpool have joined the list of clubs that believe they can attract the 20-year-old away from Bavaria. This is largely down to the fact that Musiala’s contract is set to expire in the summer of 2026, and negotiations regarding an extension to his deal are yet to materialise with Die Rekordmeister.

Despite earning a reported €8m a year at Bayern, making him one of the top earners at the club, Musiala could immediately receive a higher paycheck at a number of different European clubs. However, as reported by Sky Germany, this is not the only reason Bayern should be concerned.

Musiala has several goals that he is determined to achieve throughout his career. These include winning the Champions League and the Ballon d’Or. While these would be possible while at Bayern, which is something Musiala would love to do, according to the report, the chances of achieving this at Real Madrid, Manchester City, or Liverpool are just as high.

Nevertheless, Die Rekordmeister will do whatever they can to keep their star player. By offering Musiala an improved contract, they would have to agree to a double-figure salary. However, with the 20-year-old not thinking of a move away at the moment, it is not something Bayern have to currently contend with, but it will remain an issue until a contract is agreed.
