Jakov Medic attracts interest from a host of Bundesliga clubs

St Pauli’s Jakov Medic has attracted interest from a variety of Bundesliga clubs including VfB Stuttgart, Bochum and Mainz reports SportBild.

The Croatian was interested in joining Stuttgart in 2022 but St Pauli did not give the go-ahead for the 24-year-old to leave. Stuttgart have not given up on Medic and are still interested in the central defender whose contract expires in 2024.

Medic will be allowed to leave St Pauli in the summer if they receive a good enough offer for him. However, it does mean if they fail to receive an offer for the 24-year-old, he will likely leave on a free transfer the following summer.

The centre-back joined St Pauli from Wehen Wiesbaden in 2021 for €400k and he has played in 16 games for St Pauli this season even scoring three times.

Stuttgart’s interest in Medic comes from the likelihood that Konstantinos Mavropanos will leave Stuttgart in the future as he wishes to take the next step in his career.
