Jadon Sancho will not move to Saudi Arabia

As reported via Sky Germany, Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho will not make a move to Saudi Arabia.

It has been a turbulent time for Sancho since he departed Borussia Dortmund for the bright lights of the Premier League in the summer of 2021. Despite the Englishman demanding a hefty €85m fee, he has failed to find form in Manchester and after recent issues have come to light with manager Erik ten Hag, the winger looks set to depart Old Trafford.

Saudi Arabia has looked to be the most lucrative escape route for both Sancho and the Red Devils, however, Al-Ettifaq have failed to match United’s €58m valuation. Now a move to the Saudi Pro League seems significantly unlikely, as United are hoping for an initial loan with an obligation to buy.

Nevertheless, it is unknown what the future holds for the 23-year-old, who has been ostracised by United in recent weeks. Ten Hag left Sancho out of his squad for United’s 3-1 defeat away at Arsenal last weekend for disappointing performances in training. But Sancho would respond to his managers comments on X, formerly Twitter:

“Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself very well in training this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!”

It appears that there is serious discontent from Sancho’s perspective, but Sky Germany understand that the former Dortmund star will not terminate his current contract. While a return to Germany and Die Schwarzgelben would make for a romantic homecoming, it is emerging that there are too many issues that need solving before talks begin.
