Harry Kane set to break Bayern Munich shirt sales record by Christmas

According to Kicker, Harry Kane is set to break the record for most shirts sold for Bayern Munich in a season this Christmas.

Kane’s jersey is the most bought in the entire Bayern squad since his arrival in August. With Christmas fast approaching it seems more people will be gifting someone a Kane jersey which will contribute to the 100,000 that Bayern expect to sell come the end of the season.

Come the holiday season, Kane will smash the record of most shirt sales in a season by a player in the entirety of Bayern’s history. The 30-year-old is also Bayern’s most popular player when it comes to names on the back of the shirt

The current cost of a Bayern jersey with a ‘Kane 9’ on the back is currently €114.95 meaning by the end of the season Kane alone would have brought in €11.5m in shirt sales. The 30-year-old’s signing in the summer was always meant to help Bayern take a bigger leap on the pitch, but the commercial impact that Kane has had on the Bundesliga side is just as great.
