Florian Niederlechner will leave FC Augsburg early and join Hertha Berlin this winter

Florian Niederlechner will move to Hertha Berlin this winter thanks to FC Augsburg’s loan signing of Kelvin Yeboah from FC Genoa, according to Augsburger Allgemeine

Originally, both Augsburg and Hertha agreed that the forward would move to the capital at the end of the season and continue with his current team for the time being. With both teams hovering around the relegation places, this could have caused some inner conflict for Niederlechner.

However, with Augsburg securing the loanee signing of Genoa forward Kelvin Yeboah, they are now allowing Niederlechner to make his move to Hertha early. This will certainly boost the Berliners who can make use of the 32-year-old’s attacking attributes.

The forward has featured heavily for Augsburg this season and has made 16 appearances from which he has scored five goals and assisted twice. Niederlechner has been on the books at Augsburg since 2019 and a move has looked likely for a good few weeks now.
