Evan Ndicka reaches an agreement with Barcelona over a summer move

Sport1 is reporting that Barcelona and Evan Ndicka have agreed on an initial deal for the 23-year-old to join Barcelona in the summer.

The deal is not 100% confirmed as Barcelona will decide in early March if they want to go ahead with the transfer and the defender is waiting on the decision. Ndicka’s contract at Eintracht Frankfurt expires in the summer. The 23-year-old joined Frankfurt in 2018 from Auxerre in France for €5.50m.

Ndicka has started every single game for Frankfurt in the league and in the Champions League but as of late has hit a rough patch in his play and has lacked the same defensive solidity he provided before the World Cup and last season.

The 23-year-old played in both games as Frankfurt beat Barcelona in the Europa League last season and got sent off in the second leg when he gave away a penalty for Barcelona’s second goal in the 3-2 win.
