Eric Dier was offered to Bayern Munich

As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Tottenham Hotspur’s Eric Dier (29) was offered to Bayern Munich several times over the last couple of days. The possibility of signing the Englishman was discussed internally at the club and the player still remains a topic for the Rekordmeister, who are in the market for a defensive player in the closing stages of the window.

Dier, who is in the final year of his contract at Spurs, is an interesting prospect for Bayern Munich, given that the can play in central-defence but also as a No. 6, a position that Bayern are looking to strengthen before the market closes. Bayern’s need for a defensive player has also increased in the last hours with Benjamin Pavard set to join Inter for a reported €30m.

However, as reported by Gianluca di Marzio, Feyenoord’s Lutsharel Geertruida is also seen as a replacement by Bayern for Pavard, who is expected to undergo a medical with the Nerazzurri on Wednesday.

Liverpool are still expected to make a push to sign Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch in the coming days with the Dutchman looking for regular football, something that he hasn’t got since his move to Bayern Munich last summer. His departure would increase Bayern’s need for another midfielder before the deadline.
