As previously reported, tensions are starting to rise behind the scenes at Borussia Dortmund. With Die Schwarzgelben only gaining five points from their opening three games, they have failed to live up to expectations set after coming so close to lifting the Meisterschale last season.
Nevertheless, it will be the disappointing performances that will frustrate the Dortmund board more than the results. Therefore, this has led to those in charge at the club beginning to discuss a potential successor to current head coach Edin Terzić.
According to Bild, Julian Nagelsmann is the name circulating around and if Terzić fails to improve the fortunes of the side, then a move for the former Bayern Munich head coach could begin to heat up. Nevertheless, if BvB are to approach Nagelsmann, then they will have to agree on a fee with Die Rekordmeister as the head coach is still under contract to the Bavarians until 2026.
Regardless, it is guaranteed that Terzić will be on the touchline once the Bundesliga resumes again after the international break. However, the only way he will be able dismiss rumours surrounding his future will be by steering the Black and Yellows back towards the top of the Bundesliga table.
