Bundesliga Predictions | Round 17 – Freiburg face a confident Eintracht Frankfurt as FC Köln travel to Munich

In this weekly feature, hosts of the Gegenpressing podcast Stefan Bienkowski and Manu Veth face off with their predictions for the forthcoming Bundesliga matchday fixtures. It’s three points for a correct score and one point for a correct result. Who will come out on top at the end of the season?

Manu’s Game of the Week: Bayern Munich vs FC Köln

I feel that Bayern Munich have shown some weaknesses coming out of the break and I wonder whether Köln can take some of their momentum generated on Saturday to the midweek clash. Ultimately, Bayern should still win this game but it might be closer than many think.

Manu’s Predictions:

  • Schalke 0-3 RB Leipzig
  • Bayern Munich 2-1 FC Köln
  • Hoffenheim 1-1 Stuttgart
  • Hertha Berlin 0-3 Wolfsburg
  • Mainz 2-3 Borussia Dortmund
  • Bayer Leverkusen 4-1 Bochum
  • Freiburg 1-3 Eintracht Frankfurt
  • Augsburg 2-2 Borussia Mönchengladbach
  • Werder Bremen 0-2 Union Berlin

Stefan’s Game of the Week: Freiburg vs Eintracht Frankfurt

Not only is it a clash between two of the top four (for now…) but it will also be an excellent duel between two fantastic head coaches. Freiburg keep coming undone in these high-profile ties this season and they’ll have to be at their very best to overcome a Frankfurt team that are full of confidence and have two very impressive young forwards up front.

Stefan’s Predictions:

  • Schalke 0-4 RB Leipzig
  • Bayern Munich 3-0 FC Köln
  • Hertha Berlin 1-2 Wolfsburg
  • Hoffenheim 1-1 Stuttgart
  • Mainz 1-2 Borussia Dortmund
  • Augsburg 2-1 Borussia Mönchengladbach
  • Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 Bochum
  • Freiburg 1-3 Eintracht Frankfurt
  • Werder Bremen 1-2 Union Berlin

Scores after MD16: Manu – 99, Stefan – 76.
