Borussia Dortmund set themselves a deadline for decision on Raphaël Guerreiro’s future

According to Ruhr NachrichtenBorussia Dortmund have set a deadline for deciding the future of Raphaël Guerreiro’s future whose contract expires in the summer.

Both Dortmund and Guerreiro are in talks, but there is no definite decision on the 29-year-old’s future. The club hopes to have made a decision as soon as possible after Guerreiro returns from his international duty with Portugal. Edin Terzic can imagine continuing to work with Guerreiro in the future.

It was previously reported from the side of Guerreiro that the 29-year-old would leave Dortmund in the summer and join another European league with a large boost in his salary.

Guerreiro’s future could be in midfield for Dortmund, after his strong display in the 2-2 draw against Schalke last weekend. In the winter they signed Julian Ryerson from Union Berlin who is more defensive than Guerreiro. While Dortmund are also heavily linked with Ramy Bensebaini of Borussia Mönchengladbach whose contract also expires in the summer.

Guerreiro has played 26 times for Dortmund this season scoring four times and assisting nine times as well.
