Borussia Dortmund have an almost full strength squad

Speaking ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s game against Wolfsburg on Saturday, Edin Terzic confirmed that his squad is almost at full strength with just two question marks heading into the Bundesliga fixture.

“It looks like almost everyone will be available, there are two question marks,” said Terzic. “One is Raphaël Guerreiro, he got a knock on the calf against Bochum last week. He played on but hasn’t been able to fully train, he should rejoin team training today.”

Guerreiro’s (29) Dortmund future remains uncertain. The Portugal international has been a standout player for BVB this season with 15 goal contributions (3 goals, 12 assists) in 24 Bundesliga games) but doesn’t have a contract at the club beyond 2023.

The other question mark is Nico Schlotterbeck, who hasn’t played since April 22, but he will also resume training.

“He’ll be in training in a bit,” added Terzic. “With the two of them we have to see how the next two training sessions go.”

Schlotterbeck has missed three of Dortmund’s last four Bundesliga games with a hamstring injury, but is expected to return before the final league game of the season.

Borussia Dortmund could find themselves four points behind leaders Bayern Munich by the time they host Wolfsburg on Sunday afternoon with the Rekordmeister playing Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga Topspiel.
