Borussia Dortmund and Marco Reus could go their separate ways this summer

Borussia Dortmund and Marco Reus could go their separate ways this summer, according to SportBild

The current club captain has been missing for large parts of this season due to recurring injuries. With his contract ending in the summer, questions are beginning to circulate about whether it’s time for Reus to venture elsewhere in search of more playing time.

As per the report, Reus’s options are very much open despite other articles suggesting it was a simple case of extending his current contract. The 33-year-old’s representatives are looking at all possibilities before the summer arrives. BVB themselves are yet to make a final decision in regards to the player.

One club that is monitoring the situation is Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr who recently signed Cristiano Ronaldo (37). It’s believed the Saudi club are seeking high-profile signings in order to win the 2023 World Cup bid.

Should Reus leave this summer, he’ll be missed massively both in the dressing room and the stands.
