Bayern Munich prepared to offer Kyle Walker two year deal

Bayern Munich are prepared to offer Kyle Walker a two-year deal with an extra year option, according to Florian Plettenberg

The Manchester City and England full-back is highly thought of by Bayern bosses and head coach Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel has spoken to Walker on the phone several times about the prospect of moving to the Bundesliga. There have now been personal meetings between Walker’s agent and Bayern to discuss options.

Bayern are ready to offer the 33-year-old a contract until 2025 with an option to extend by a further 12 months. The Bavarian club does face opposition from within Manchester City, however, who themselves are prepared to give Walker the option to extend his contract with the blues.

However, Bayern are very much still pushing to get this deal over the line and bring in the experienced defender. This transfer also opens the exit door for players such as Benjamin Pavard who currently is willing to extend his contract beyond 2024. Walker would likely come in as a starting right back in front of Noussair Mazraoui and Josip Stanišić next season.
