As reported by Sky Germany, Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on Jonathan David from Lille.
As per the report, Bayern have scouted the Canadian international who is currently the leading top goalscorer in France, alongside Kylian mbappé, with 20 goals to his name. Bayern are seeking a striker in the summer and will take their time in choosing their ideal candidate. The club are willing to spend up to €100m this summer if needed.
Bayern’s chief scout Markus Pilawa sees great potential in David and believes the Canadian has a top career ahead of him.
With Bayern actively seeking a striker and likely to offload Sadio Mane in the summer, David is well within the club’s budget.
The 23-year-old moved to Lille from Gent in 2020 and has since played over 100 competitive for the club scoring over 60 times. David has also represented Canada 40 times, scoring 24 goals for his country.
