Bayern Munich are discussing the future of Oliver Kahn as CEO of the club, according to Christian Falk.
The club’s bosses are currently debating whether a premature end to Kahn’s role is the best course of action. The former Bayern and Germany captain was in the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night when the club were knocked out of this year’s Champions League to Manchester City (4-1 on aggregate).
It’s been a difficult few months for Bayern both on and off the pitch. After the surprise sacking of Julian Nagelsmann, the club bought in Thomas Tuchel. Since then, they’ve been knocked out of the DFB Pokal at home to SC Freiburg and now the Champions League. The club are just one point ahead of Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga having drawn their last match at home to struggling TSG Hoffenheim.
Bayern appear to be going through a moment of change and Oliver Kahn’s role could be next.
