Bayern Munich are not considering a move for Mason Mount

According to Bild, Bayern Munich are not considering a move for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.

Despite reports that Die Rekordmeister were discussing the potential signing of the England international, Bild have reported that this is not the case. Mount has not been internally spoken about as a transfer target over the past few days and, therefore, there will currently be no approach.

The connection between the German champions and the English midfielder sparked when Manchester United’s third bid for Mount was declined by Chelsea. This is despite Mount seemingly already agreeing on personal terms with United, but an offer of €64m was not enough for the Blues.

Whether Bayern would have been willing to separate with such a significant sum of money for Mount is not certain. Nevertheless, Mount would certainly offer quality despite a disappointing season where has only been able to register nine goal contributions in 35 games as Chelsea finished in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

Thomas Tuchel is considered to be an admirer of Mount, with the pair working together at Stamford Bridge during the Bayern boss’ tenure in London. Mount would even assist Kai Havertz, who is set for Arsenal, in the 2020/21 Champions League final that Tuchel and Chelsea would go on to win against Manchester City 1-0.
