Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt

As reported by Bild, both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in bringing Julian Brandt to the Premier League this summer.

It’s no secret that a move to England is appealing to the German international. What’s more, one of his closest friends Kai Havertz is currently playing in London for Chelsea.

The forward has been on top form for BVB recently and has been directly involved in 12 goals from 22 Bundesliga games. The 26-year-old’s contract expires with Dortmund in 2024. The club wish to extend beyond that in the summer, particularly if he keeps up this rich run of form.

Dortmund’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl is also happy with Brandt and is willing to sit down for contract talks in the near future.

We see Julian’s development every day. He has taken a giant step forward – and we are very happy about that. I am of course familiar with the contract situation and we are approaching the subject very positively and calmly,” said the 43-year-old.

Brandt has been at Dortmund since 2019 after moving from Bayer Leverkusen for €25m. Should either Arsenal or Spurs attempt to make contact this summer, the forward could be tempted with a new challenge.
