Alexander Nübel prefers a move to the Premier League this summer

Alexander Nübel would prefer a move to the Premier League this summer, according to SPORT1

The German will report back at Bayern Munich following a two-year loan at French side AS Monaco in July. Both Nübel and Bayern bosses agree that a split is the best for both parties. However, upon selling the player, Bayern would like to add a buy-back clause.

The 26-year-old is favouring a move abroad, in particular, a move to the Premier League. Ideally, the goalkeeper would like to switch to a side which is competing in a European competition next season.

This would limit his clubs to Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle, Liverpool, Brighton, Aston Villa, and West Ham United. Many of these already have top goalkeepers who are crucial to the team. Manchester United may change current number one David De Gea but the red devils are likely to choose someone with more experience.

For a goalkeeper to move, it’s usually off the back of another goalkeeper leaving. Therefore Nübel will have to be patient if he wants his desired move to the Premier League. Even then, it may not be to a team with European football next term.
