Who makes Germany’s provisional World Cup squad?

On Friday, Hansi Flick was required to submit a provisional Germany squad to FIFA for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar next month. Until now, the DFB kept their nominations quiet but BILD have since released names of 44 players that have made the list.

Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko (17) has made the list alongside Werder Bremen’s Niclas Füllkrug in attack. Rani Khedira is a surprise name in midfield whilst Florian Wirtz, who is yet to play this season, has made the provisional squad. Defensively, Luca Netz of Borussia Mönchengladbach is an option at left-back.
