Trio of Hertha Berlin players could leave this summer while Kevin-Prince Boateng may “hang on for another year”

According to Sport Bild, Hertha Berlin are due to sell a trio of first-team players in order to raise funds for the summer transfer window.

The players in question include Marvin Plattenhardt (30), Vladimir Darida (31) and record signing Lucas Tousart (24).

Both Plattenhardt and Darida have contracts until 2023 whilst Tousart has a current deal that keeps him with Hertha until 2025.

When it comes to Kevin-Prince Boateng the 35-year-old may stay with the club for another season. Many believed the midfielder may retire this year due to his injury and lack of playing time.

However, Boateng is one of the most important players under head coach Felix Magath both on and off the field, according to a Sport Bild report.

For this reason, it appears the native Berliner still has a role to play with Hertha.

After another challenging year in the Bundesliga, it’s obvious that Hertha will have to re-build in order to change their fortunes on the pitch.
