Thomas Müller praises Jamal Musiala: “The way he solves situations with the ball is impressive.”

Speaking to media ahead of Germany’s UEFA Nations League game against Hungary, Thomas Müller reserved high praise for international and Bayern Munich teammate Jamal Musiala.

“The way he solves situations with the ball is impressive,” said Müller. “There are certainly players with better finishing or passing but that’s what distinguishes him since he’s been playing with the Bayern Munich first team. He’s always working on what he’s not so good at and improving.”

This comes after Germany teammate Ilkay Gündogan said in a press conference on Tuesday that Musiala is the future of German football alongside Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck and Karim Adeyemi and Hoffenheim left-back David Raum.

19-year-old Musiala made his Germany debut in March 2021 under then head coach Joachim Löw and impressing since making his Bundesliga debut at 17 under Hansi Flick in June 2020.

Musiala has 13 caps for Germany and has played 78 games in all competitions for Bayern Munich.
