Stuttgart striker Saša Kalajdžić is the favourite to replace Erling Haaland at Borussia Dortmund, according to Bild.
The 24-year-old is of a similar build to Haaland standing at two metres tall, is physically strong, and poses great agility at the same time.
The Austrian international is currently on international duty and will head off on his holidays until June 20th.
In between then, talks are being planned between Stuttgart and Dortmund representatives to discuss a possible transfer.
It’s reported that BVB would have to pay around €20m-€23m for the forward, who is entering the final year of his contract.
Discussing Kalajdžić on the Bayern Insider podcast, Bild journalist Christian Falk discussed Saša Kalajdžić’s possible transfer by saying: “I don’t want to say anything about talks with football clubs. Whether it’s Dortmund, Bavaria or England, Italy, Spain or France. Basically, it’s about Sasa playing at a very good club where he can achieve his sporting goals.”
However, Dortmund would face competition with Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur who have also been linked with the striker.
Hugo Ekitike (19) is likely to join Newcastle United whilst Sébastien Haller (27) is too expensive at €35m. According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Moussa Dembélé (25) could also be an option.
