After missing Der Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, Thomas Müller is aiming for a Bayern Munich return against Viktoria Plzeň on Wednesday, as per Kicker. The 33-year-old was forced to isolate after testing positive for Covid-19 but returned to training on Sunday.
Müller scored and assisted in Bayern Munich’s 4-0 win against Bayer Leverkusen on October 30 but tested positive for Covid-19 the following day. Joshua Kimmich also tested positive but the 27-year-old featured against Borussia Dortmund after recovering. Müller still had symptoms of a cold.
Against BVB, Alphonso Davies received a kick to the head from Jude Bellingham and on Sunday, Bayern confirmed that the Canadian had suffered a cranial bruise and missed training on Sunday.
After nine Bundesliga games, Bayern find themselves third and four points off leaders Union Berlin following the latest round of fixtures. Goals from Leon Goretzka and Leroy Sané 2-0 up in Der Klassiker but a spirited BVB comeback, goals from Youssoufa Moukoko and Anthony Modeste secured a point.
