Speaking on Loss mer schwade, FC Köln head coach Steffen Baumgart has positive news regarding the future of 34-year-old striker Anthony Modeste.
“We assume that Tony will stay,” said Baumgart. Modeste has scored 19 goals in 31 Bundesliga games this season, helping the Billy Goats to secure a return to European football.
The Frenchman has just one year remaining on his current deal with reports speculating that he could leave in the summer if an extension isn’t agreed.
Baumgart also confirmed that he would like to sign central-defender Luca Kilian on a permanent basis whilst Louis Schaub and Jannes Horn will both leave the club Tomáš Ostrák will likely play in MLS.
