Official | Sheraldo Becker signs Union Berlin contract extension

Union Berlin have today announced the contract extension of 27-year-old Sheraldo Becker.

“I really feel very comfortable at Union,” Becker told the club’s website. “We have achieved incredible things together in recent years, and together with the club and the team, I have also developed further. I look forward to continuing to work.”

Sporting director Oliver Ruhnert added: “It is a good sign that we have been able to retain a key player like Sheraldo for longer. We are happy to continue working with him and to have his individual quality in attack.”

Becker scored six and created nine in 40 appearances in all competitions last season for Union Berlin. Since his free transfer from Den Haag in 2019, the offensive player has played 74 games in all competitions, scoring nine and creating 14.

The Dutchman created an excellent partnership with Taiwo Awoniyi, who has since joined newly-promoted Premier League side Nottingham Forest.

The Bundesliga side didn’t disclose the contract length.
