Ryan Gravenberch: “I’m coming to Munich to win lots of titles.”

Bayern Munich have completed the signing of 20-year-old Dutch central-midfielder Ryan Gravenberch from Ajax on a five-year contract until 2027 for an initial €18.5m.

Speaking via Bayern’s official channels, Gravenberch discussed his reasoning behind joining the Bundesliga champions.

“When the offer came from Bayern, I didn’t have to think about it for long,” said Gravenberch. “Bayern are one of the biggest clubs around, players from all over the world want to play for this club.

“I’m coming to Munich to win lots of titles and Bayern are used to winning lots of titles. Anything is possible with this club, including winning the Champions League. The togetherness in this team is very strong, which I like.”

Gravenberch played 42 games in all competitions for Ajax last season, scoring three and creating six. After coming through the youth ranks and representing Ajax in 103 games, the Dutchman will be playing alongside the likes of Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka next season.
