Official | Bayern Munich sign Ryan Gravenberch

Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Ryan Gravenberch from Ajax for an initial €18.5 million.

The 20-year-old has signed a five-year contract with Julian Nagelsmann’s side until 2027. Ajax will receive a further €5.5m in performance related bonuses and will receive 7.5% sell-on of any future transfer fee.

“When the offer came from Bayern, I didn’t have to think about it for long,” said Gravenberch. “Bayern are one of the biggest clubs around; players from all over the world want to play for this club. I’m coming to Munich to win lots of titles and Bayern are used to winning lots of titles. Anything is possible with this club, including winning the Champions League. The togetherness in this team is very strong, which I like.”

Sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić added: “Ryan Gravenberch will offer a lot to our team. He’s one of the biggest talents in Europe, has superb technical ability, always finds solutions in tight spaces, is very dynamic and a goal threat.”

Gravenberch played 103 games in all competitions for Ajax, scoring 12 goals.
