RB Leipzig plan contract talks with Christopher Nkunku and Dani Olmo

RB Leipzig are currently planning contract extension talks with both Christopher Nkunku and Dani Olmo, according to Kicker.

This goes against an earlier report from Sport Bild, suggesting that Nkunku’s contract would be automatically extended should they qualify for the 2022/23 Champions League.

Both Nkunku and Olmo, who are 24-years-old, have been heavily linked with a move away from Leipzig this summer.

Nkunku’s possible suiters include Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain.

The Frenchman has had an excellent season which was capped off with winning Bundesliga Player of the Season for 2021/22.

Likewise, Olmo has been heavily tipped to return back to Spain with either Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Nkunku and Olmo both have contracts until 2024 without any exit clause. It’s Leipzig’s hope that they can extend the stay of both attacking players as they seek to challenge Bayern for the Bundesliga next season.
