RB Leipzig captain Péter Gulácsi demands consistency from his team

As per a report from Bild, RB Leipzig captain Péter Gulácsi has demanded more consistency and points ahead of a busy schedule leading up to the World Cup.

Making the comments after training on Wednesday, the Hungarian international said: “We want to stabilize through consistency and get points. That’s what we’ve been missing so far. It’s about starting a series and taking this intense football game by game under the new coach and becoming successful.”

So far this season, Leipzig have conceded 12 goals in seven Bundesliga matches. This is something Gulácsi pointed out and explained that the situation has to change if Leipzig want to be a serious contender this campaign.

“We conceded far too many goals. We have to make sure that we work well against the ball as a team with eleven players. We did an outstanding job in the second half of the season, defending well and intensively from start to finish. We have to bring that back onto the pitch,” explained the 32-year-old.

Leipzig play Bochum on Saturday who themselves are under new management and in desperate need of three points.
