PLAYER RATINGS | Bayern Munich 5-0 Viktoria Plzeň – Sadio Mané scores first Champions League goal for Bayern

Bayern Munich soundly beat Viktoria Plzeň 5-0 on Tuesday evening to kickstart their Champions League campaign with three wins from three. The Rekordmeister were 3-0 up since 21 minutes through Leroy Sané, Serge Gnabry and Sadio Mané – it was Mané’s first Champions League goal for Bayern.

Sané then scored his second and Bayern’s fourth after 50 minutes before Eric Choupo-Moting completed the rout 30 minutes from time. Bayern could have scored more but with Saturday’s Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund in mind, Nagelsmann made changes early.

Bayern are now the first team in Champions League history to remain unbeaten in 31 consecutive group games, beating Real Madrid’s (30) record.
