Speaking in an interview with Sport Bild, Freiburg defender Philipp Lienhart discusses his future.
“I think to myself in general: ‘why change something that works so well?’,” said Lienhart. “I would like to play in the European Cup in the future, ideally with Freiburg.”
The 25-year-old has a contract with Freiburg until 2024 after joining the club on a permanent deal from Real Madrid in 2018 following a successful loan spell.
Lienhart has played 106 games in the Bundesliga for Freiburg.
