Paulinho to leave Bayer Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen winger Paulinho will leave the Bundesliga club in the summer, according to Kicker.

The 21-year-old has just one-year remaining on his current deal and would be available to move on a free transfer in 2023, something that Bayer Leverkusen want to avoid.

However, B04 are reluctant to let Paulinho leave and so one option would be to allow the Brazilian to leave but include a buyback clause in the deal.

Both Sporting CP and Ajax have shown previous interest in Paulinho, who moved to Germany from Vasco da Gama in 2018 for around €18m.

Two players that Bayer Leverkusen have interest in, but more so an alternative to Moussa Diaby, is Luis Sinisterra (Feyenoord) and Mykhaylo Mudryk (Shakhtar Donetsk).
