Official | Wolves sign Saša Kalajdžić from Stuttgart

Wolves have today announced the signing of Stuttgart striker Saša Kalajdžić for a reported €18m plus add-ons, subject to a visa and work permit.

Kalajdžić has signed a five-year deal with the Premier League side with the option of a further 12 months which would keep him at Wolves until 2028.

Several European clubs from Manchester United to AS Roma and Borussia Dortmund had shown an interest in signing the 25-year-old forward, but no club followed through with their interest.

Wolves had previously made a €15m bid which was rejected by the Bundesliga club. Despite this, Kalajdžić was absent from his side’s game the following weekend with fresh negotiations reportedly ongoing.

Technical director Scott Sellars said: “We are very happy to secure the signing of Sasa, who is a talented young striker, has many excellent attributes to his game and fits the profile that we have been looking for this summer.

“Sasa has had great success in Germany’s Bundesliga, and we are looking forward to seeing what he can do in the Premier League.”

Kalajdžić has played three Bundesliga games for Stuttgart this season, creating three goals. Since his move from Admira Wacker in 2019 for €3.5m, the now Austrian international has scored 24 and created 12 in 60 games across all competitions – 22 of those scored in 51 Bundesliga games.
