Official | Peter Hermann becomes assistant head coach at Schalke 04

The vastly experienced Peter Hermann becomes Schalke 04’s new assistant head coach with immediate effect.

Hermann was most recently Bayern Munich’s assistant back in 2017 and has previously worked at Bayer Leverkusen, Nuremberg, Hamburg and Fortuna Düsseldorf.

Schalke’s sporting director, Rouven Schröder welcomed the news by saying: “We are very happy that Peter Hermann will enrich our team of coaches. With his experience and his professional qualifications, he will immediately strengthen our staff. He was a professional himself and has been working successfully as an assistant coach at the absolute top level for 30 years now and has experienced a wide variety of situations. We are convinced that he will give us important impetus in the decisive phase of the current season.

Hermann (70) was previously at Schalke back in the 2013/14 season when he was assistant to Jens Keller.
