Official | Patrick Herrmann extends his contract at Borussia Mönchengladbach

Patrick Herrmann has extended his contract at Borussia Mönchengladbach which was due to expire this summer. 

The 31-year-old winger has spent his entire senior career at Gladbach and it’s due to stay that way as his contract is extended until 2024. 

The club’s sporting director Roland Virkus said: “Patrick has experienced a lot in almost 400 competitive games for the pros and as a player who made it from the foal stable to the Bundesliga, he is a role model for all of our young players.”

Delighted by the news, Herrmann told the media: “I’m just happy that I can stay with what I consider to be the best club in the world for another two years and I’m already looking forward to next season. I feel extremely comfortable here and am incredibly proud to have been playing here for so long. Borussia will always be my club.”

The veteran has featured 29 times in all competitions for Gladbach this season.
