Holstein Kiel defender Phil Neumann has signed a three-year deal at Hannover 96 on a free transfer.
The 24-year-old will join the Lower Saxony club when his current contract expires at the end of this season.
In regards to the signing, Hannover’s sporting director Marcus Mann said: “With Phil Neumann we’re getting a tall and at the same time extremely fast central defender into the team. At the age of 24, he is certainly not at the end of his development.”
Neumann is said to be a flexible defender but more often than not plays in the centreback position.
He has played 28 times in the 2. Bundesliga this season in what was a mixed campaign for Kiel.
