Official | Freiburg sign St. Pauli forward Daniel-Kofi Kyereh

Bundesliga side Freiburg have today announced the signing of Ghanaian attacker Daniel-Kofi Kyereh from 2. Bundesliga side St. Pauli for a reported €4.5m. The 26-year-old has signed a long-term contract.

Kyereh told the club’s website: “I’m impressed by the way SC Freiburg play, the way they have developed and the club as a whole. That’s why I was completely convinced in my decision to come here and be part of this team – I’m really excited for the coming season in both the Bundesliga and the Europa League.”

Kyereh scored 12 and created 10 in 29 league games for St. Pauli last season, and has scored 22 and created 21 in 67 games in all competitions since his move from Wehen Wiesbaden on a free transfer in 2020.

Able to play anywhere in attack, Kyereh becomes Freiburg’s second signing this summer after Matthias Ginter returned to the club on a free transfer from Borussia Mönchengladbach.
