Bundesliga Stuttgart have this afternoon confirmed the signing of Dan-Axel Zagadou (23) on a free transfer. The French defender has signed a four-year contract until 2026.
“Daxo has all the qualities that a top central-defender needs,” said sporting director Sven Mislintat. “He’s athletically strong, has a good passing game and has gained valuable experience at national and international level in recent years. He knows the Bundesliga and will therefore need little time to integrate.
“With his commitment, we were able to full the open squad place in the defensive area with an excellent player. We’re happy that Daxo has chosen us.”
Zagadou arrives on a free transfer after his contract with Borussia Dortmund expired. Brought to Germany by Mislintat during his time at BVB, Zagadou played 67 Bundesliga games and 15 in the Champions League. The former PSG youth player has also represented France at youth level.
