Nottingham Forest enquire for Sheraldo Becker

Premier League side Nottingham Forest are again turning their attention towards the Bundesliga. According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, NFFC have enquired about Union Berlin forward Sheraldo Becker.

Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest currently find themselves in 18th, and are one point off safety after 15 games. Their plan is to sign Becker – who has 11 goal contributions in 15 games (7 goals, 4 assists) – to help them avoid relegation. The 27-year-old did sign a contract extension in June until 2024 but Union could be open to a sale should they receive a suitable offer. Becker also dreams of one day playing in the Premier League.

The Bundesliga is a market that Nottingham Forest tapped in to during the summer. Taiwo Awoniyi (Union Berlin), Orel Mangala (Stuttgart), Moussia Niakhate (Mainz) and Omar Richards (Bayern Munich) all joined the newly-promoted Premier League club. As per Transfermarkt, Becker has a current market value of €15m.
