Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter will join fellow Bundesliga Freiburg when his contract expires in the summer, according to corresponding reports by Sky Germany and Bild.
Sport1 report that the 28-year-old will travel to Freiburg after Gladbach’s game against RB Leipzig this evening.
A medical and signature is then expected to be completed this week.
Ginter has played 178 games in all competitions for Gladbach since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2017. It was confirmed earlier in the year that he would not be signing a contract extension with Die Fohlen.
