After leaving his position at Augsburg, Markus Weinzierl was at Hoffenheim’s training ground in Zuzenhausen on Thursday, according to Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung.
The 47-year-old has been linked with the vacant head coach position at Hoffenheim after they parted ways with Sebastian Hoeneß after missing out on European football.
Weinzierl took Augsburg to the Europa League in 2015 after finishing fifth and has since coached Schalke and Stuttgart before returning to Augsburg in April 2021.
