Manchester City pushing to sign Erling Haaland

Manchester City and Pep Guardiola are pushing to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland in the summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Guardiola sees Haaland as the perfect signing for Manchester City, who so far have offered the Norwegian international the best proposal. Direct contacts are ongoing.

Real Madrid also have concrete interest in Haaland, but haven’t matched City’s proposal.

As reported by Sport1 last month, a total package to sign Haaland could be around €300 million. This includes the transfer fee, salary and commissions. This substantial fee realistically puts Bayern Munich out of the race.
