Bild report today that Bayer Leverkusen striker Lucas Alario will remain at the club until the summer despite interest from fellow Bundesliga sides Hertha Berlin and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 29-year-old Argentine has become dissatisfied with a reserve role at the club after falling behind Patrik Schick in the pecking order. B04 have also reached an agreement with Zenit St. Petersburg forward Sardar Azmoun, who will arrive at the club in the summer.
Had Bayer Leverkusen reached an agreement with Zenit to sign Azmoun before Monday’s transfer deadline, the situation for Alario could be different.
