On loan Manchester City defender Ko Itakura (25) has commented on his future.
“I feel comfortable here and want to play for Schalke in the long term,” Itakura told Sport Bild.
The 2. Bundesliga have a reported €4.5m purchase option but, according to WAZ, this only applies should they return to the Bundesliga and as of yet, no talks have taken place.
Itakura has played 21 games in all competitions this season.
